Troubleshooting: Download Invoice or Send Email Actions Not Responding
If you're encountering issues where clicking "Download Invoice" or "Send Email" does not trigger any action, follow the steps below to troubleshoot the problem effectively.
Issue Description
You may experience the following:
-
Clicking Download Invoice does not start the download.
-
Clicking Send Email to [customer email] does not send the invoice or trigger any confirmation.
These actions should initiate a document download or a confirmation modal for sending the email. If they don’t, the issue could be related to browser settings, system permissions, or a temporary app glitch.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide
Step 1: Check Browser Compatibility
CommBilling is optimized for the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
-
Make sure you are using a supported browser.
-
Try refreshing the page and repeat the action.
-
If the issue persists, try performing the same action in another supported browser.
Step 2: Disable Pop-Up Blockers
The Download Invoice and Send Email buttons rely on browser permissions to open or initiate actions.
-
Ensure pop-ups are allowed for your browser session.
-
If you're using a browser extension to block pop-ups or scripts, temporarily disable it and try again.
Step 3: Clear Cache and Cookies
Cached data can sometimes interfere with app functionality.
-
Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
-
Reload CommBilling and try again.
Step 4: Check Internet Connection
A weak or unstable connection may prevent actions from triggering.
-
Verify you have a stable internet connection.
-
Reload the application if needed.
Step 5: Confirm the Invoice is Properly Generated
If the invoice has not been generated correctly or is missing required data, actions may not execute.
-
Go to the Invoices tab and ensure the invoice status is complete.
-
If any required fields are missing (e.g., VAT number, document numbering), complete the invoice setup in Settings > General.
