Our application is designed to give you full control of your billing needs, making it easy and intuitive to stay compliant with European VAT regulations.

The Dashboard Tab in CommBilling is your primary control center for managing billing, invoices, and orders within your Shopify store. Here's a detailed look at each section within the tab:

1. Welcome Section

When you first open the Dashboard Tab, you will be greeted with a welcome section that introduces CommBilling. This section provides a quick overview of the application and how it helps you stay compliant with EU tax regulations. It’s designed to give you confidence in knowing that your billing processes are in good hands, with all features readily accessible for efficient order management.

2. Let’s Get Started

Immediately after installation, this section guides you through the three essential onboarding steps to ensure everything is set up correctly:

  • Fill out Settings: Start by configuring the basic settings for CommBilling. This includes your business information, VAT registration, automations, documents numbering etc. It's critical that these settings are completed before moving forward, as they affect how your invoices and billing documents are generated.

  • Customize Documents: This step allows you to personalize your billing documents, such as invoices and credit notes. You can adjust templates to reflect your brand identity, including logos, colors, and custom fields that suit your business needs. This customization ensures all your documents maintain a professional and consistent look.

  • Synchronize Orders: This final step syncs your Shopify orders with CommBilling. Once synchronized, your pending orders will be available in the application for processing, whether it’s invoicing, issuing refunds, or managing credit notes.

3. Filter and Statistics

The Dashboard Tab also offers a Filter function, allowing you to view specific data over a selected date range. This feature is useful for reviewing billing performance over a specific time period.

Additionally, the dashboard provides a real-time overview of key statistics, including:

  • Pending Orders: Displays the number of orders that still need to be processed, whether that’s generating an invoice or handling a refund.
  • Pending refunds : Displays the number of refunds that still need to be processed
  • Total Downloads: Tracks how many times you have downloaded sales documents (invoices etc).
  • Total Sent: Reflects the total number of invoices and other billing documents sent to your customers via email.

This overview helps you quickly assess your store’s billing status and prioritize actions.

4. FAQ Section

The FAQ section provides quick access to frequently asked questions, articles, and guides. Here, you will find solutions to common problems, tips on maximizing CommBilling's features, and troubleshooting advice. This section is constantly updated to ensure you have the support you need at your fingertips.

5. Activity Log

The Activity Log offers a detailed record of all activities performed in CommBilling. From generating invoices to editing document templates, every action is logged. This makes it easy to track what changes were made and by whom, giving you full visibility into your billing operations. It’s especially helpful for auditing purposes and reviewing actions if any issues arise.

6. Email History Log

The Email History Log allows you to monitor all outgoing emails related to billing, including invoices, credit notes, and payment reminders. You can track the status of each email (e.g., sent, delivered, failed) and ensure that your customers receive their billing documents on time. This section gives you peace of mind by providing a complete communication record between you and your clients.
