What happens if an error occurs during the automation process?

CommBilling is designed to automate billing tasks efficiently, but occasionally, errors may occur during the automation process. Whether it's an issue with invoice generation, email delivery, or refunds, CommBilling provides tools and notifications to help you identify and resolve these errors promptly.

What Happens When an Error Occurs?

  1. Error Notification: If an error occurs, via an alert, CommBilling will notify you immediately via the dashboard.

  2. Error Logging: All errors are logged in the Activity Log, providing a detailed record of the issue, including the affected process (e.g., invoice generation or email automation) and potential causes.

  3. Affected Tasks: Tasks interrupted by the error will be marked as Failed in their respective sections, such as the Invoices Tab or Email History Log. These tasks may require manual intervention to complete or retry.

How to Resolve Automation Errors?

  1. Review the Error:

    • Check the Activity Log or Dashboard Alerts for details about the error.
    • Identify whether it’s related to missing data, incorrect settings, or system connectivity.
  2. Retry the Process:

    • Navigate to the section where the error occurred (e.g., Invoices Tab).

    • Select the affected task and click Retry to re-initiate the process.

  3. Update Settings or Information:

    • If the error is due to missing information (e.g., incomplete customer details), update the required fields in the relevant tab.

    • Save the changes and retry the automation task.

  4. Contact Support:

    • If the error persists, use the Support Form in the Support Tab or the Help Button to report the issue.

    • CommBilling’s support team will assist you within 24 business hours to resolve the error.
